April 2018 – The ‘Applied Medical Leadership in Adversity’ workshop was organised to share learning and help to deliver the creation of conducive leadership behaviours across the healthcare community. The programme offered a positive approach with the aim of assisting senior staff members towards constructive outcomes for the future and breaking down ‘silo’ working cultures.
CAWT has been engaged over the past 17 years in a series of multi-agency emergency medical response training events/courses involving agencies north and south.

November 2021 – Cross border Humanitarian Disaster Assistance Course, United Nations Training School Ireland, the Curragh, Co. Kildare.
November 2020 – ‘Sharing Early Experiences in the Management of COVID-19’, United Nations Training School Ireland, the Curragh, Co. Kildare. A one day workshop for those centrally involved in the COVID-19 response, including key Health and Social Care, Defence Forces/military personnel from both jurisdictions.

March 2019 – Cross border Humanitarian Disaster Assistance Course, United Nations Training School Ireland, the Curragh, Co. Kildare.

Sept 2015 – BATLS, United Nations Training School Ireland, the Curragh, Co. Kildare. This course was developed as a result of UK’s experience of addressing major trauma cases by pre-hospital medical and paramedic personnel and included techniques developed in conflict and disaster response situations abroad, but which have civil application to Healthcare and the Ambulance Services north and south.

Oct 2014 – Cross border Humanitarian Disaster Assistance Course, United Nations Training School Ireland, the Curragh, Co. Kildare.
Oct 2013 – Cross border Humanitarian Disaster Assistance Course, United Nations Training School Ireland, the Curragh, Co. Kildare. This course was designed to facilitate greater medical emergency cooperation between both parts of the Island of Ireland, the UK and where personnel are operating internationally in Humanitarian Response.
Oct 2010 – Cross border Specialist Advanced Trauma and Life Support Course, Curragh camp in Co.Kildare.
May 2009 – Cross border Advanced Life Support training and communication exercise, Magilligan in Co. Derry/Londonderry.
April 2008 – Cross border training/exercises in Major Incident Medical Management Support (MIMMS) in Ballykinler in County Down.
April 2007 – Cross border major emergency planning exercise Magilligan in Co. Derry/Londonderry.
In addition CAWT has also supported three Major Incident Medical Management Support (MIMMS) courses which took place in 2007, 2008 and 2012 and a study day in 2008.
