Project supported by the European Union’s INTERREG VA Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
The project aims to implement a cross border, collaborative, community based approach to promoting healthier lifestyles which target the risk factors associated with Long Term Conditions. People living in targeted geographical areas will be supported to manage their own health need through access to local initiatives. Such initiatives will focus on improving health literacy, prevention of and early intervention in long term ill-health and its main risk factors. This will assist with stemming the flow of people who develop Long Term Conditions and reducing the burden of chronic disease.
This INTERREG VA funded project is managed by a Project Board which is responsible for ensuring that their project delivers on its objectives and targets within the agreed timeframe, budget and to a predefined quality standard.
The Project Board is comprised of nominated representatives from the CAWT partner organisations and other appropriate partners and is chaired by a representative from the Project Board.
The Project Board directs the work of the Project Manager who reports directly to the CAWT Development Centre. The Project Board is ultimately accountable to the CAWT Management Board through the CAWT Development Centre and CAWT Secretariat.
