Bernie McCrory, CAWT Chief Officer retires

Bernie McCrory has retired as Chief Officer of CAWT after more than 40 years in the Public Service, Bernie has been Chief Officer for 16 years working to promote cross border health and social care services in NI and ROI with partners across Scotland, Canada, Greenland, Iceland and Norway as well as other European Union Partner Countries. Bernie was awarded an MBE in 2014 for her services to health and social care provision in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Prior to taking up this role, Bernie worked as a Hospital Manager in Tyrone County and the Erne Hospitals for more than 20 years and latterly as the Directorate Manager for Surgery and Critical Care at Altnagelvin Hospital.

Additionally Bernie lectured on a part-time basis for 10 years for Queens University of Belfast in Law and Business, she also provided the in-house teaching commitment for many years for the Graduate Advancement Programme which was a partnership between Sperrin Lakeland Trust and the University of Ulster
