Innovation Recovery’s Winter Wellness Programme 2020

CAWT’s cross border Innovation Recovery Project is working in partnership with local GP practices to deliver an online Winter Wellness Programme. The Winter Wellness Programme’s overall aim is to reach out to local communities to enable people to remotely access the programme and stay connected, feel supported and equipped with wellness tools to help get through these challenging times. Currently 7 GP practices are working closely with the project to offer these workshops. Cross border Innovation Recovery College pilot helps over 100 students to Stay Connected

CAWT’s Innovation Recovery Project teamed up with a number of colleges including St. Angela’s College Sligo, Cavan Institute and Monaghan Institute of Further Education and Training, to pilot the new ‘Staying Connected’ online educational support programme for students. The programme aims to address the potential impact that the current Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions may be having on students attending third-level colleges in Ireland. Following successful training courses in Sligo and Cavan, the sessions took place in Monaghan during November. 3 Community Engagement Events to be held in Cavan, Derry/Londonderry and Newry The Co-operation and Working Together (CAWT) health services partnership has secured funding from the EU’s INTERREG VA programme to support a large-scale cross border mental health recovery project within Northern Ireland and the border region of Ireland. The 4 year cross border Innovation Recovery project will deliver mental health education in order to support people to better understand and manage their mental health. The project is establishing cross border Hubs in the following 3 areas of Derry-Donegal; Fermanagh-Cavan-Monaghan-Sligo-Leitrim; and Belfast-Armagh-Newry-Dundalk.
